University of Western Sydney (UWS) World Solar Car Challenge 2015

Macarthur Design & Drafting are proud to annouce we are now the offical partner for design and drafting with the University of Western Sydney World Solar Car Challenge 2015.

 

World Solar Car Challenge is a compitition for university students to design, build and race a solar powered car from Darwin to Adelaide. The next race is during October 2015. Engineering and Industrial design students from UWS have been designing a completely new car for the next race.

The car is completely made from carbon fibre with a nomex sandwich in areas of high stress.

Top speed for the car is estmated at 120km/h with an average crusing speed of 90km/h.
